The Mask

Why the hiding?
Why can no one know who you are?
What are you afraid of?
If someone gets to close is something going to scare them off?
Is it for safety?
Is it because of fear?
Is it even necessary?
Is it more comforting to hide than to let people in?
Which way is more life-giving?
Which way offers more promise?
Is it the fear of disappointment?
Is disappointment even avoidable?
Life is not for hiding.
Hiding is not living.
It is barely surviving and waiting for the next disappointment.

True or Correct

Does it matter who is right?
Has making yourself look right not come at a great cost?
Is that all that matters?
Is your image so important that taking people down become a justifiable cause?
This is not the way.
If I cannot do something without making others look bad, it is not right.
There is no way for this to be acceptable.
Or at least no imaginable way.
The Church is not a leadership structure designed for backstabbing.
That is pride. Pride has no place in the Church.
